Hannes, how did you get into motocross?

My dad was also a motocross rider. He sometimes took me with him. Then on my 5th birthday, I was given a 50 cc bike and would ride around the fields on it. I already knew that I wanted to race. At the age of 7, the time had come to enter my first race. At the age of 9, I was runner-up in the Alpencup.

What are your goals? In sport and in life?

As far as sport is concerned, I would definitely like to race in the European Championship this year (2016) and finish in the top 15. I'm also really looking forward to the Alpencup race in June. Alongside racing, I would like to develop my business knowledge at local sport business college.

What do you like to do when you're not on your bike?

I live in the mountains and it's only a couple of steps to the ski lift. That's why I've always been a keen skier and freestyle skier. Apart from that, I like running and cycling - in the mountains of course.
