Nicole is the epitome of an endurance athlete because sprints didn’t appeal to her - she lives for the really long tours. As a passionate cyclist, the Swiss national has specialized in ultracycling and is way ahead of the rest. We are very pleased to have such a strong female cyclist on our team of athletes.

Can you briefly tell us how you got into cycling:

Sport was always an important part of my life. After many years of playing tennis and floorball, I decided to concentrate on endurance sports. A peer at work signed me up to a 24 hour cycling race - I was convinced it would be my first and last. It had quite the opposite effect, however. It made me realise that I had still not reached my limits. After several 24-hour races, I was looking for a new challenge that was no longer on a circuit. That’s how I came to compete in races of more than 1000 kilometres up to and including the legendary Race Across America with 5000 kilometres.

What are your goals? In sports and in life?

I still haven’t yet decided what comes next, but I have plenty of ideas and options. I want to stay healthy and enjoy doing sports as well as keeping the joy and interest of my profession.

What is your favorite region to cycle?

The Töss Valley and Toggenburg (in the area where I live).

What do you like to do when you're not on your bike?

I like to spend time with my wife and friends. I also work full-time as a structural engineer technician and I thoroughly enjoy it.

What does owayo mean to you?

owayo gives me the chance to find shorts that fit me perfectly and to keep any saddle discomfort to a minimum for as long as possible. I am proud to be able to represent owayo and hope that I can help to make other athletes aware of their great products.

What is/are your favorite product(s) from owayo and why?

The cycling shorts with the men’s endurance pad. They fit like a second skin and the pad is perfect for the long rides in which I participate, in eliminationg my problem areas as much as possible.
